The email summarises the environmental highlights from the World Economic Forum’s 50th Annual Meeting in Davos. The theme this year was: Stakeholders for a Cohesive & Sustainable World”. Donald Trump has pledged to plant 1tn trees to help climate emergency. Prince Charles gave a powerful speech on the climate crisis. Prince Charles also outlined an initiative to encourage rapid decarbonisation and a shift towards sustainable markets. He called for ” a paradigm shift in the way the world deals with climate change”. Greta Thunberg repeated her calls for an immediate end to investments in fossil fuel exploration, fossil fuel subsidies and for investors to ditch fossil fuel assets.
